OpenAI just announced GPT-5 today (Aug 7, 2025). According to its press release, it is the most intelligent model in the world today.

At HiDock, we integrated GPT-5 API to HiNotes service at the moment it is available from OpenAI. We did quick verification and it works with our system. Our tests showed that GPT-5 demonstrated "visible" better performance for meeting notes, it shows better uniformity in format and content details. Also it runs slower than previous GPT 4.x and O3 models.

While we are doing more verification and tuning, we'd like to release this feature as soon as possible to our users, you can try the latest model from OpenAI. It is generally available as beta feature on HiNotes web app now.

Happy to invite you to join HiNotes App Beta for iOS.

How?

First, please use your Desktop computer to update HiDock P1 to firmware v1.2.18 (or newer).

Then, please install the beta app from TestFlight: https://testflight.apple.com/join/frUvTHk1  

After installation, please log-in with your HiNotes account, you can start test with us. Make sure you plug-in your P1 to your iPhone with the USB-C cable.

What to expect? We just finished the major functions: device connect, recording transfer and transcribe.

You can also do device firmware OTA update, and delete your recordings.

More functions are under development, we also would like to listen to your ideas.

Issues?

Please report your issues here. And make sure you read this known issue list:

Repeated Notes: if you have a recording, transcribed from Desktop HiNotes, and from the App, you can see it as new recording, you can transcribe again.

Stability: sometimes the app will freeze when transferring recordings, you will need to plug out P1 and plug in again
